Dr. Edward Wenda

Dr. Wenda was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. He attended UNC Chapel Hill for his undergraduate studies, graduating in 1996. He then studied dentistry at UNC School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill, earning his DDS degree in 2000.

Following dental school, Dr. Wenda came to work with Dr. Vruwink from 2001 to 2004 before returning to open his own practice in Raleigh. Dr. Wenda sold his dental practice in Raleigh after 10 years and opened a craft brewery in Raleigh. With the birth of twins, Dr. Wenda decided to leave the craft beer business and return to dentistry, for which he has a renewed passion.

Dr. Wenda practiced and lived in Atlanta for 2 years before returning to Asheboro to partner with Dr. Vruwink.

Dr. Wenda prides himself in taking the best possible care of his patients. He enjoys learning about new techniques and technologies in dentistry. He is a member of the ADA, North Carolina Dental Society and Randolph County Dental Society.

Dr. Wenda and his wife, Susan, have 4 children: Hannah, Tyler, and twins Harper and Jeffrey. In his spare time, Dr. Wenda enjoys spending time with his family, boating, and playing and watching sports.

Susan Wenda

Susan Wenda was born and raised in the Asheboro area. She attended UNC Greensboro and after working in her family business she entered the medical field, working for Randolph Medical Associates. She then went to work with Dr. Vruwink and her husband, Dr. Wenda at Dr. Vruwink’s practice in 1999.

She and Dr. Wenda opened a dental practice in Raleigh followed by a craft brewery ten years later. After living and working in Atlanta for the last 2 years, she is excited to return to her home town of Asheboro with her husband, who is partnering with Dr. Vruwink.

Susan prides herself on communicating with patients regarding their treatment and helping patients overcome financial hurdles that may keep them from getting the treatment they need.

Susan and Dr. Wenda have four children: Hannah 21, Tyler 6, and twins Harper and Jeffrey 3. She enjoys spending time with her family, boating and reading.

Paulina Gigliotti

Paulina Gigliotti was born in Quito Ecuador, she moved to North Carolina in 2005 where she resides with her husband and has two daughters. Since then she works in then she has worked in the dental field as a Patient and Insurance Coordinator. Patients can easily talk bilingually (Spanish) about any Insurance or Dental question they may have.

She is passionate about helping patients reach the best of their dental insurance coverages; she is a very organized worker and multi-tasker.

Outside of work she spends the majority of her time with her husband and children. She enjoys traveling as much as she can. She always has a smile on her face.

Brittany

Dental Assistant

My name is Brittney Maness, I am a dental assistant. I have been in dentistry for 2 years now. I started out assisting in pediatric dentistry, and now have been with this practice for over one year.

I really love helping create healthy confidant smiles. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and three wonderful children, going to the zoo and getting out doors as much as possible.

Leigh Ann

Hygienist

My name is Leigh Ann Sumner. In 2016, I graduated from the dental hygiene program at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. I began my dental hygiene career working at a pediatric dental office for about three and half years.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wenda and Dr. Vruwink since I was a little girl. It is an honor to be able to work at the dental practice I grew up getting my dental needs taken care of. I look forward to providing the same level of care I received over the years.

I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping make their smiles brighter! In my spare time I enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, and being with my family and friends.

Dental Assistant

Hi my name is Lisa Vaughn and I'm a dental assistant. I have been in dentistry for over 15 years and have been with this practice for 5 years. I love getting to know my patients and making them feel good about their smile!

I'm married to my husband Stephen and we have two wonderful boys! In my spare time I enjoy watching my boys play soccer, basketball and play piano! I also enjoy shopping, boating, snow skiing and spending time with my family

Hygienist

Hi, my name is Brooke Little and I am a registered dental hygienist. I have been a hygienist since 2009 and have been in this practice since 2011. I love working in dentistry knowing I have helped someone to improve there smile. I enjoy building a relationship with my patients and keeping up with them at every visit.

I am married to my husband Justin and we have a beautiful little girl. In my spare time I enjoy baking, shopping, and going to the beach. I can’t wait to meet you and address your dental needs.

Hi, my name is Elaine. I've been a part of the practice for over 31 years! I was born and raised in Seagrove, NC and still live there today. I've cared for many of our patients over the years. I enjoy getting to know the familiar faces and families.

I am the wife of an amazing man, and mother of two grown incredible sons. I'm lucky to be the grandmother of two precious grandsons. We also have a four legged daughter named Allie.
